Liftgate, power rear.

Position it &ndash;&nbsp;forward, rearward,&nbsp;up and down,&nbsp;tilted back or&nbsp;upright; and with the right amount of&nbsp;lower-back support. The seat's memory feature recalls the seat to your preferred driving position and even adjusts the outside mirror, all at the touch of a button.

Positioned between the&nbsp;2 flat-folding captain's chairs in the second row, this console includes&nbsp;2 handy bins and 2 cupholders. Push-button lids pop open for easy access to the bin. The second-row center console requires 7-passenger seating.

Setting the control to auto&nbsp;turns on the headlamps to normal low-beam brightness, along with the the taillamps, license plate lamp and other exterior lights you need at night. When you shut off the ignition and exit the car,&nbsp;the lights remain lit&nbsp;as you walk away, for your convenience and safety. They turn off automatically after a few minutes, so you never worry about returning to a drained battery. &nbsp;

Suspension, front and rear independent.

The front passenger seat in your Acadia^&reg; has a Passenger Sensing System¹ to turn the frontal air bag in that position on or off automatically, as&nbsp;necessary. Sensors embedded in the seat detect the weight and pressure of an occupant, which reduces the risk of inappropriate deployment.<br /><br />¹ Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child&rsquo;s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with air bags and the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. The passenger can reposition it fore and aft (as well as up and down) and adjust the seatback's tilt. They can also choose the precise degree of lumbar support and recline angle.

The touch of a button in the center console brings warm or cool air circulation to your entire seat or seatback only. On SLT-2 models,&nbsp;required and&nbsp;available with perforated leather seating surfaces.

The&nbsp;available 2-panel SkyScape^&reg;&nbsp;includes&nbsp;1 panel over the front seats and another over the second row. With the Express-Open feature, the front panel slides fully open at the single touch of a button. Or you can adjust the opening to control brightness or tilt the back of the glass up to let in fresh air. The fixed rear panel comes with a convenient sunshade to control brightness as well.

To help protect you and your passengers in the event of a collision, your Acadia^&reg; has an array of air bags¹&nbsp;that help absorb energy and reduce the risk of injury, depending on the type of crash:<br /><br /><ul> <li>Frontal air bags for the driver and front seat passenger, in the case of head-on or near head-on collisions; these dual-stage air bags vary their deployment force and pressure, depending on crash severity, to reduce the risk of air bag-related injury </li> <li>Side-impact air bags for the driver and front passenger, which deploy from the side of the seat near the door</li> <li>Head curtain air bags for outboard positions in all rows, which deploy from the roof rail along the top of the&nbsp;windows, in case of rollover or certain other impacts</li></ul><p>¹Head Curtain Side Air Bags are designed to help reduce the risk of head and neck injuries to front and rear seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. Unlock the door with your Remote Keyless Entry fob and the seat glides into your preset position (fore and aft, as well as up and down). The exterior mirrors remember their settings, too. The memory links with the two remote keyless transmitters, enabling the vehicle to distinguish between two drivers before you get in. In addition, separate controls on the driver's door let you recall your preferred position&nbsp;if you enter&nbsp;without using the keyless transmitter. Included with SLT-2 and Denali^&reg;.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;

When the pavement turns slippery due to snow, ice or rain, the antilock feature contributes&nbsp;even&nbsp;more to your safety. It eliminates the need to pump the brake pedal to avoid lockup during hard stops. Instead, sensors in each wheel detect lockup before it happens, signaling the calipers to alternately squeeze and release the discs many times per second. You maintain steering control while applying steady, firm pressure to the brake pedal,&nbsp;so you can&nbsp;maneuver away from hazards&nbsp;during emergency stops.&nbsp;
